WORMWOOD STUDIO FACTOID:
Soon after WWII all the seven majore studios installed crematoriums in their studio lots. They have never given a reason for this bizarre addition. However, it has been suggested they did so to be more efficient and enable them to run the studio with a more sure hand. The studios continue to use the crematoriums, their furnaces spewing smelly smoke several times a week, usually after dark. |

Look for Wormwood Studio's Furnace next time you visit Hollywood.

One of my favorite quotes, one that I live my life by, and one I urge others to consider carefully, comes from none other than good 'ol Groucho Marx. Actually, I don't know the exact quote (I'm too lazy to find the exact words), but it goes something like this: "I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would want me as a member." Woody Allen also quoted that line in one of his movies (was it ANNIE HALL?). If anyone in Hollywood says they live by that philosophy, they are complete fucking liars. Hollywood IS THE BIGGEST FUCKING CLUB on the planet and every little scumbag who slithers into town wants to join the fucking club.
ANOTHER FACT... Did you know that every studio has maps of the studio in most offices so that everyone can find their way around? |

WORMWOOD Studios has its own mortuary and a place called "The Crucified." The spokesperson for the studio would not explain. Every studio in Hollywood is a self contained city within a city. Below every studio, in their 'bowels,' if you will, there is a great amount of food and weapons being stored. The studios can survive any emergency indefinitely.
Speaking of the studios being self-contained: Did you know that never, not once since they came into existence, has any major studio been paid a visit by the L.A.P.D.? Not once. The studios have complete autonomy. They apparently have never had a single violent act occur within their walls in almost 90 years. That is a miraculous example of perfection. Perhaps EDEN does exist afterall. The studios would argue that there simply has never been any cause for the police to enter any studio. Their police forces do a great job. Perhaps the studios' police forces should teach the city police how to run a perfect force.
After you spend a few days in Hollywood, think of this quote from Jean Paul Sarte that perfectly captures the essence of life in general and Hollywood in particular: HELL... IS OTHER PEOPLE Think about it.
Tyrone Power, the matinee idol of the '40's and '50's said Hollywood is a 'world of polite destruction.'
Another quote I already mentioned in the Frequently Asked Questions page, but bears repeating: Picasso: GOOD TASTE IS THE ENEMY OF CREATIVITY
