In
addition to playing Wilcox, the biggest movie star in the world, Matthew
also plays Cherokee, the studio PR man, and Mr. Formosa, the guardian
of the studios’ formulas.
Matthew
also made a major contribution to the film as the special make-up
effects artist. In other words,
all the gory stuff in the film can owe its success to Matthew.
He also instructed Lourdes Foster on the basics of make-up
application. She then proceeded
to take on the ‘make-up’ job during the year-long production.
Besides
being a make-up wizard, Matthew has extensive acting experience in
theater and film. Some of
his credits includes the films, BLOODLUST (Eyeball Productions), SLAUGHTERDAY
(Coffin Productions), ALL HALLOWS EVE (Gray Matter Productions), and
CHOICES (OHS Productions).
His
theater work includes Macduff in MACBETH, Shadow in SHADOW AND LANTERN, Horatio
in CINDERELLA, and Rodney
in BAYLIN’S MONSTER.
Matthew’s
other skills include stilt-walking, pistol and rifle shooting, western
horseback riding, sculpting and pencil & ink drawing.
