Throughout the shoot we were extremely fortunate to get to use a dolly made by Robert Loomis, an ex-student of mine (and a filmmaker himself). He had built it by hand. Its hydrolic lift was a car jack. There was about 60 ft. of tracks and a little jib/crane. The whole set-up is quite impressive. During our shoot, Mr. Loomis took the dolly with him to use on a Hollywood film being shot in our little town. The DP was a typical Hollywood asshole who took one look at Loomis' dolly and scoffed, saying it was not good enough for him. Loomis brought the dolly back to us and we continued to use it for several months.
